In this episode I'm joined by Laura Kirk-Francis and Andrew Allen to continue the enjoyment of Arsenal winning the league, the celebrations that engendered all around the world and at the parade last Sunday. We chat about the need to keep celebrating after so many people told us we shouldn't, Mikel Arteta and how this title win might impact him (if at all), what it means for the players to see the extent of the fanbase, before we revisit some of our pre-season podcast conversation with Laura and Andrew about things we'd have to contend with this season, the manager, media coverage, rating the transfer window and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, Tim and Jamie talk about Katie McCabe's controversial move to Chelsea, the reaction to it and how it impacts her Arsenal legacy with the supporters. There is also discussion of Victoria Pelova's likely move to Spurs, Laila Harbert's move to San Diego Wave and Arsenal's interest in Lisa Baum. In the second half, Tim and Jamie take listener questions on the best signing of last season, this summer's transfer activity and the balance between ceiling and floor raising and how Arsenal fix issues with goal scoring and aerial domination.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog's award winning coverage of Arsenal Women by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode we convene a few days after Arsenal lost the Champions League final to PSG in Budapest. So much has happened since then, that's it's hard to really keep track, but we go chronologically through the trips to Hungary, the atmosphere in the city among other Arsenal fans, and lots more before we get to the game itself. Kai Havertz's early goal had a big impact on the game, not simply by virtue of putting us ahead, but how it influenced the game state. There's discussion of the penalty they were awarded and the one we weren't, the referee's performance, extra-time, and ultimately the heartbreak of the penalty shoot-out with analysis of the takers and the order in which they were taken. After some reflections on how it all felt, we go into part 2 to talk about the post-game reaction in Budapest, what we can learn from this game, before focusing on the incredible scenes in North London at the parade which really helped diminish the pain of the night before. We also take some listener questions about Josh Kroenke and his role, the potential profile of summer signings, Arsenal being emotional, and loads more besides. It's a long one, strap in!Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode we're talking the morning after Arsenal were confirmed as Premier League champions for 2025-26. We chat about our experiences of Tuesday evening, how it played out on the pitch and off it, the subsequent celebrations, and try to put into words what it means to win the league again after 22 years. There's discussion of the journey the club and fans have been on together, Mikel Arteta finally getting over the line at the expense of Pep Guardiola, some key players and moments, and reflections on how this season played out. We also answer listener questions, and while focusing on the positives, we take a little time to start the process of giving a bit back to some of those who have invested in Arsenal's failure, as well as some words of appreciation for the Arseblog and Gunnerblog communities who have played a big part in our experience of this fantastic achievement.
