Each morning Podzilla looks at the episodes your subscribed podcasts published in the last 24 hours, summarizes them, and sends one email. No per-episode pings, no mid-day clutter.
The catalog is every podcast episode summary Podzilla has already generated — popular shows we pre-summarize, plus any episode another user has requested on demand. Reading from the catalog is the same content for every tier; we only meter how many catalog reads Free accounts get each month.
Catalog reads let you open summaries that already exist. Generating new summaries is for episodes no one has summarized yet — those cost real compute, so paid plans get a monthly allowance measured in hours of audio.
Yes. Every on-demand generation adds to the catalog, and popular shows get pre-summarized as soon as they're released. Older episodes back-fill as users request them.
Yes. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep paid features until the end of your current billing period, and your data stays in place.
You keep every podcast you've subscribed to. Only the most recent ones (up to the new tier's limit) are included in your digest; the rest are paused, not deleted. Upgrade later and they come back.
