How Will Jeff Blashill & the Blackhawks RESPOND After a Rough Season Opener? | CHGO Blackhawks

The Blackhawks opened the 2026-27 season with a 5-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, exposing some of the defensive and puck-management issues Jeff Blashill wanted to clean up entering the year. Chicago struggled to contain Vegas in transition, while Patrick Kane and Jordan Greenway provided the goals in a game where the Hawks showed some improvement as it went on. With Connor Bedard still sidelined and the team relying on young centers like Anton Frondell and Roman Kantserov, the Blackhawks now face an early test on how quickly they can adjust. Jay Zawaski, Mario Tirabassi and Greg Boysen break down the opener and discuss how Jeff Blashill and the Blackhawks can respond. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
