CUBS POSTGAME: Cubs SWEPT in Doubleheader as Playoff Seeding Is in Danger | CHGO Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are officially playoff-bound after clinching a postseason berth, but they are swept in the doubleheader by the Boston Red Sox, putting their playoff seeding in danger. David Peterson delivered a strong performance with five innings on the mound, while Pete Crow-Armstrong, Alex Bregman and Ian Happ remain key pieces for Chicago heading into October. Unfortunately, the Cubs’ loss means the No. 1 Wild Card spot is now out of reach, making the final games of the regular season important for their postseason positioning. CHGO Cubs breaks down the doubleheader sweep, Peterson’s outing, the Wild Card picture and what’s next for Chicago. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
