On the morning of July 31, 2022, Mackenzie Shirilla's Toyota Camry slammed into a commercial building in Strongsville, Ohio, at approximately 100 mph. Dominic Russo died instantly, while Davion Flanagan succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward. Despite catastrophic injuries, Shirilla survived.
