The series is tied, 1-1.Brett Howden scored twice to help the Golden Knights build a 2-0 lead, opening the scoring on a breakaway set up by Mitch Marner’s high-flip breakout pass with 6:27 left in the first period before adding his second at 7:23 of the second. Carolina rallied in the third with goals from Logan Stankoven, Mark Jankowski, and Jordan Staal to take a 3-2 lead. Mark Stone tied the game with 1:21 remaining in regulation, forcing overtime, but Seth Jarvis scored a power-play winner 3:58 into the extra period to lift the Hurricanes to a 4-3 victory.
