Episode 392: JR Goes BAD!

JR GOES BAD! On this episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross and Conrad revisit one of the WWF's most controversial experiments: fake Razor Ramon and Diesel.  JR explains why he believed the angle was doomed from the start, reflects on Scott Hall and Kevin Nash's departure for WCW, and reveals how his real frustrations with Vince McMahon fueled an unforgettable heel promo. From rehearsing with Jerry Brisco to hearing the crowd's excitement disappear when the impostors arrived, JR takes us inside an idea fans never bought, and explains why Glenn Jacobs still became one of WWE's greatest hires.  Plus, JR shares stories about his iconic cowboy hat, unpaid hotline work, and his rise through talent relations. Then, Jim and Conrad discuss AEW's expansion into France, preview Money in the Bank with JR's picks for Roman Reigns, Oba Femi, and CM Punk, and explore Kevin Owens' remarkable connection to Jim's commentary. JR also reflects on the PAC tribute show, shares a candid health update and meaningful family time, and looks ahead to Oklahoma versus Texas.  Finally, a 1998 Eric Bischoff interview sparks a passionate response from Jim over whether Steve Austin would have remained a mid-carder. JR had a front-row seat to Austin's rise, and he has plenty to say!     THIS WEEKS SPONSORS MOD - Visit http://MOD.com  for a free consultation and get 10% off your first order PLUS free shipping with promo code JR SPRING SLEEP - eXciteOSA is an FDA-cleared, prescription-only device for primary snoring and mild obstructive sleep apnea.
