I Know These Two Things | Warren Smith

Warren Smith told me death isn’t final. Then he told me the second thing he’s certain of... Warren Smith became known for questioning a student’s beliefs about J.K. Rowling. In this interview, I turn that same scrutiny on his own beliefs about God, Christianity and what happens when we die. Follow Warren Smith's brilliant channel: https://www.youtube.com/@SecretScholars What starts with his viral classroom video and the fallout from losing his teaching job becomes a deeply personal conversation about faith, evidence and consciousness. Warren describes a life-changing experience involving psychedelics, explains Jordan Peterson’s influence, and makes a claim about life after death that I have to challenge. We explore simulation theory, Richard Dawkins, Alex O’Connor and whether morality needs God. But when I explain where my own morals come from, Warren has a question for me. Can we apply the same standards of evidence to the beliefs we most want to be true? Watch the conversation and tell me who makes the stronger case—and which argument challenged your own thinking. Subscribe to heretics for interviews and debates about psychology, religion, critical thinking and the beliefs shaping our lives. CHAPTERS 00:00 Warren Smith: The J.K.
