Hornets INJURY AVALANCHE In Nets Loss | Naz Reid DEBUTS | Hannes Steinbach STUCK On Bench

Basketball is back, but the Charlotte Hornets’ preseason debut brought plenty of drama and a tough 124-90 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Before tip-off even arrived, the Hornets were hit with a major avalanche of injuries. Brandon Miller was ruled out with a shin contusion, Coby White suffered a calf strain, and key figures like Kon Knueppel, Christian Anderson, and Grant Williams were all forced to watch from the sidelines.Despite the missing star power, there were plenty of new faces making their Charlotte debuts. Naz Reid posted 13 points and showcased his perimeter versatility, while Grayson Allen delivered a steady hand, hitting all three of his attempts from deep. We also break down rookie Liam McNeeley’s mixed night—showing scoring flashes in the third quarter alongside a frustrating six turnovers—and Moussa Diabate’s physical battle down low.The biggest rotation mystery centered around 14th overall pick Hannes Steinbach, who didn't check into the game until the five-minute mark of the third quarter. Should Hornets fans be concerned about his spot in the depth chart, or is Charles Lee simply easing the rookie into NBA competition against physical veterans? We dissect Charles Lee’s honest postgame breakdown following Charlotte’s 25 turnovers, Brooklyn’s blistering 20 three-pointers, and a grim 68-38 second-half slide.
