5-Star PG Reese Alston Makes SURPRISE Visit to Kentucky Basketball, Mark Pope NEEDS Him?

Five-star point guard Reese Alston made a surprise official visit to Kentucky basketball, moving his trip to Lexington up earlier than expected. What does that mean for Mark Pope and the Wildcats’ pursuit of one of the top guards in the 2027 recruiting class? On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe breaks down Reese Alston's unexpected visit to Lexington, why the five-star point guard is such an important target for Mark Pope, and what Kentucky has working in its favor in his recruitment. Then, Lance reacts to ESPN's preseason college basketball Top 25, where Kentucky checks in at just No. 19 despite ESPN calling Milan Momcilovic the best player from the transfer portal. Is Kentucky basketball being underrated again heading into the 2026-27 season? Finally, the SEC Quench Meter returns. Lance ranks every SEC football game this weekend based on how badly he wants to watch it and gives predictions for Alabama vs. Mississippi State, Florida vs. Missouri, Auburn vs. Tennessee, Vanderbilt vs. Georgia, Arkansas vs. Texas A&M, Kentucky vs. South Carolina and more.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!KALSHIFor a limited time, Download Kalshi and use code Locked On to get $25 when you trade $25. Kalshi.
