BOTH WWE & AEW SHOW US THIS WEEK THAT PRO WRESTLING SUCKS IN 2026 | TNT #156

Both WWE, and AEW have shown us this week why Pro Wrestling might just be worse in 2026 than it was in 2025. With WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE Raw, and last week's AEW Dynamite, this may have been one of the worst weeks in all of Pro Wrestling all year. Saturday Night's Main Event was held at Madison Square Garden in New York, and was basically the NBA on TNT airing on Peacock. A complete celebration of the New York Knicks winning the NBA Finals so WWE can get a Sportscenter moment. What they did is further prove that the entire concept of Saturday Night's Main Event is a waste of everyone's time. But CM Punk and Cody Rhodes finally brought a little fire into their upcoming SummerSlam match, and Nick Aldis is returning to the ring at SummerSlam. WWE Raw was no better, giving us one of the worst Monday night show all year, with Roman Reigns once again skipping to come to work on Monday Night. Between 5 Judgement Day segments, and 5 Danhausen segments, Triple H may be having fun. The fans are not. Also, Rhea Ripley will remain the WWE Women's Champion but WWE will crown an Interim Champion at SummerSlam in here absence. Tom Brady is in talks to potential get involved with WWE and Logan Paul. A "popular" streamer accidently streams Penta without his mask on backstage. And, AJ Styles comments on WWE "buying" a promotion in Japan and fans freak out over why he said it. On the AEW side of things, Tony Khan did not have a great plan in place for AEW Redemption this coming weekend because he took the belt off MJF to give us Kevin Knight vs Kenny Omega for the AEW Championship? Who's "redemption" is this supposed to be? Also, AEW announces the return of "Hangman" Adam Page 24 hours before a scheduled Collision appearance, and don't follow-up with a mention of him on Dynamite.
