In today’s episode, we reflect on the relationship between moral responsibility, power, and Qadar. What does it mean when someone does not personally commit an injustice, but supports it, defends it, or becomes comfortable with it? The story of Thamud teaches us that our responsibility can extend beyond what we physically do to what we approve of and stand behind. We then turn to one of the most important truths the Qur’an teaches us: real power belongs only to Allah. Human power is temporary and limited, while Allah is Al-Muqtadir, the One whose power is absolute and whose will cannot be overcome. From there, we explore Qadar and how knowing Allah changes the way we understand divine decree. Qadar does not mean passivity, and it does not erase our choices. We are responsible for our intentions, decisions, effort, and response, while the outcome remains with Allah.
