Von Bork's compatriot, Baron von Herling, is impressed with the collection, and promises Von Bork a hero's welcome upon his return to Berlin. There's only one final task remaining: a delivery of British naval codes from Von Bork's informant, an American named Altamont. The stage is set for Holmes's most important mission yet.
