The Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast is the ultimate what-if show for the boxing enthusiast. It is for someone who sits around with their buddies, wondering what would have happened if these two fighters fought in their prime. Could Mike Tyson beat Tyson Fury? Would Floyd Mayweather Jr beat Sugar Ray Leonard? There are so many imaginary matches to create to pit the best against the best of all time in boxing. The Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast will be your time machine, to create what-if fights. The tool I am using to create these matches is Title Bout 2, the computer simulation created by Jim Trunzo. IMHO he has created the best PC game out there to produce the best results. Obviously, this will not solve the answers of what legendary boxer could beat another legend. But that is not the purpose of this podcast. I want you to sit back and use your imagination. It is all about having fun with a sport I love and know that you love.

For seven decades, Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 record has served as the "Holy Grail" of boxing—a pristine, unblemished number that supposedly defines the pinnacle of heavyweight achievement. However, as we look back from the vantage point of May 2026, the modern dominance of Oleksandr Usyk (25-0) has forced a radical reassessment of what "perfection" actually means. While the "Brockton Blockbuster" represents a legendary era of grit, Usyk’s recent TKO victory over Rico Verhoeven at the Pyramids of Giza has solidified a different kind of greatness: one defined by technical "Grandmastery" rather than raw attritional volume. As a historian, I must ask: is a zero in the loss column a true measure of supremacy, or does the context of the era—and the biometric reality of the opposition—change the entire equation?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content. This episode includes AI-generated content.

Is the modern athlete truly better, or have we traded the "inner machine" of the old-school masters for a polished, scientific veneer? To understand the trajectory of the Sweet Science, we must explore the counter-intuitive takeaways from its evolution—and what exactly was lost when the grit of the 1920s met the sports science of the 21st century.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content. This episode includes AI-generated content.
Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano are returning to the cage. This isn't a standard main event; it is the two pillars of the foundation returning to the house they built. Framed within the hyper-spectacle of the Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions "disruptor" era—sharing a card with names like Francis Ngannou and a crossover clash between Mike Perry and Nate Diaz—this fight is a high-stakes excavation of legacy. For the purists, it is the "unthinkable" realized: a collision of two women who didn't just participate in the sport; they willed it into the global mainstreamBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/shoulder-roll-virtual-boxing--6207307/support.This episode includes AI-generated content. This episode includes AI-generated content.
