The Mandalorian & Grogu star Brendan Wayne discusses playing the Star Wars part of Dinn Djarin, one which he shares with Pedro Pascal and Lateef Crowder. Previously credited as a stunt man, Wayne is now one of the top-billed performers in the franchise with The Mandalorian & Grogu hitting theaters earlier this year. As this week's Main Character, Wayne shares stories of working with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau on The Mandalorian episodes and big screen moments, as well as memories of movies like Cowboys & Aliens and what sort of experiences being John Wayne's grandson has brought to him! Recorded in the Fortress of Solitude at WB's Superman Experience in Burbank, Ask BD #023 covers some recapping of the Supergirl event and what is coming to the trailer now that BD and Joe have seen the movie, predictions for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Top 5 Marvel movie soundtracks, Avengers: Doomsday theories, and more as every question from e-mail submissions and Patreon are answered this week. Apologies for the episode being slightly shorter than usual, technical difficulties aka uncharged batteries set the recording back and Supergirl's reaction/review needed to record to release on the channel closer to the film's release! This week's Ask BD is a bit different from previous weeks, with one submission calling for a brand new Marvel movie idea with three characters required to be fleshed out and this episode might've overdelivered on it, squeezing a new story into the MCU! Plus, a review of The Mandalorian & Grogu, thoughts on a Kevin Feige replacement emerging should such a time ever come, and ideas for the next Clayface-type of movie (in terms of budget) for DC Studios and more! I have watched all eight episodes of Spider-Noir and can finally share my spoiler-free thoughts on Prime Video's new series. It's insane that this thing exists, at all! Nicolas Cage plays a variant version of the character we met him as in the Spider-Verse movies, largely disconnected from those stories, in a fairly thrilling, big swing story both literally from building to building and in ideas & execution. This video breaks down the black & white vs color debate, the core of the show's story, and what worked best about it before a 10 score is given. Link to YouTube edition: https://youtu.be/V-iD0B2SRY4
Ludi Lin is this week's Main Character, reflecting on his 7 year journey as Liu Kang so far, audition for Shang-Chi against Simu Liu, and what might be ahead following Mortal Kombat 2! This interview contains spoilers for Mortal Kombat 2, diving into the fates of his character and others, the best fight scenes, and what might be ahead in Mortal Kombat 3 as Liu Kang is the original main character of the Mortal Kombat games!
