Government corruption doesn't announce itself. It hides in shell companies, foreign contracts, and campaign finance filings that nobody bothers to read. The Drill Down does the reading. The weekly podcast The Drill Down is hosted by Peter Schweizer, New York Times bestselling author of Clinton Cash, Secret Empires, Red-Handed, Blood Money, and The Invisible Coup. Co-hosted with GAI Vice President Eric Eggers, the author of Fraud, the show follows the money trails behind Washington's biggest scandals: foreign influence operations, CCP capture of American institutions, insider deals, and election integrity failures. Every episode breaks down a real investigation, the paper trail behind it, and who benefits. No spin. No talking points. Just the documents, the disclosures, and exposing the people who would prefer you didn't know about it.

Anthropic and OpenAI plan IPOs. Their leaders also warn of killer robots and ask Washington to regulate them. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers ask who profits from the rules. Investor Steve Eisman says the AI labs face open-weight competitors, have no lasting edge, and manufacture a crisis to write regulation in their favor. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang asks why executives who fear their own product rush to raise money. Peter compares the push to Dodd-Frank, which some of the largest Wall Street firms backed and which drove out small competitors unable to afford compliance. The hosts play President Trump, Brad Gerstner, and Bill Gates, who calls new AI law "a little bit of overhead." They cover data center power use and local opposition, Eric's figure of more than $300 million in AI company spending on the 2026 midterms, and OpenAI's purchase of the TBPN podcast. They close on tech leaders who praised China for years and now cite China as a threat to win support in Washington. The press covers President Trump as the weak party at this week's U.S.-China summit. Low polls, gas prices, Iran. The coverage leaves out what Xi Jinping did on his way to Washington. Days before the trip, Xi expelled two of China's top generals, Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli, for disloyalty to the party. Zhang served as vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and ranked among Xi's closest allies. The purges leave the commission with two active members: Xi and the man running his investigations. More than 45 Chinese generals and admirals have gone missing in two years. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers lay out the numbers Beijing stopped publishing. China's economy is on pace for its slowest growth since 1991. Total debt sits near 300% of GDP. Domestic car sales fell 20% from a year earlier. Housing sales fell 14%. Business confidence and real estate data went dark. Then the agenda. Trump wants help on Iran. China, the largest backer of the Iranian regime, lost its discounted oil from Iran and Venezuela and has drawn down its reserve for six months. On AI, Peter walks through the COVID record: the NIH grant terms, the Wuhan lab biosafety protocols, the WHO access commitments. China signed each one and broke each one. An AI agreement with Beijing binds the United States and nobody else. The press says Xi is strong and Trump is weak Summit protocol and the purge the media ignored 45 generals and admirals missing in two years Xi's father tried to poison his teacher Beijing stops reporting its own economic data China's debt hits 300% of GDP Trump gets called a dictator. Xi gets Disney. China broke every COVID agreement it signed Why China needs Hormuz open more than we do China is an enemy. Talk, but don't trust. American students fell three quarters of a school year behind in reading and math between 2018 and 2025. They now trail China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the UK, Canada and Australia. The skills dropping fastest are the ones the AI economy rewards: evaluating sources, connecting information, thinking critically. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers walk through three reports released this month. PISA found "hasty reading" has doubled, with nearly 10% of students now reading fast and wrong. The Thomas B. Fordham Institute found 76% of high schoolers use school devices for something other than school every day, and 26% use AI during quizzes and tests. The GAO found 19% of districts closed a school last year over a plumbing failure, a flood, or a 110-degree classroom. Then there's Mississippi. Long ranked at the bottom, it copied Florida's third-grade reading law, set a passing threshold students have to clear, and tested new elementary teachers on the science of reading. Mississippi now ranks ninth in the country in reading and sits well ahead of California. The countries holding their scores steady share one trait: stricter device discipline in the classroom. Mississippi is excelling and California is not PISA: US scores fall three quarters of a year of learning "Hasty reading" doubles, and the countries it skipped Chromebooks stay at school, LA County caps devices at 10 hours a week Fordham: 76% admit daily illicit device use, 26% use AI on tests The technology was built for the teacher, not the student GAO: 1 in 5 districts closed a school over facilities The problem is not money, it's the approach Mississippi copies Florida's third-grade reading law 44% of below-average SAT scorers get A's 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 👇 📕 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon (2026) https://amzn.to/3LcenCd 📗 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election (2018) https://a.co/d/cQZzBlT?tag=governmacco01-20 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 👇 🌐 https://thedrilldown.com ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/@TheDrillDown 📸 https://www.instagram.com/TheDrillDown1 𝕏 https://twitter.com/TheDrillDown1 📘 https://facebook.com/DrillDownTV 🟢 https://rumble.com/c/TheDrillDown1 🟣 https://truthsocial.com/@DrillDownwithSchweizer 🎧 Listen on the go: https://thedrilldown.podbean.com Also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart and Amazon Music. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 👇 The Drill Down is produced by the 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, a nonpartisan investigative research organization. Twenty five years after the towers fell, the men who planned the attack are dead and al Qaeda's command structure is gone. Peter Schweizer argues the war never ended. It changed method. Osama bin Laden believed you beat the Judeo-Christian West by punching it in the face. The Muslim Brotherhood disagreed with the tactic and agreed with the goal. Their alternative is civilizational jihad: immigration, political organization, elected office, cultural pressure. No explosives required, and no moment of national alarm to trigger a response. Start with the cost of the first method. 9,677 first responders and survivors have since died of 9/11 related illness, according to federal figures. More than 57,000 documented cancer cases trace back to the toxins released by the burning and collapsing towers. Firefighter Tim Brown was invited to 21 funerals in a single day. The attack itself ran roughly $100 billion in damage, insurance, cleanup and lost business. The war it launched ran $10 trillion, by Brown University's estimate, near 35 percent of the national debt at the time. The Department of Homeland Security was announced 11 days later. Then look at New York. Mayor Zohran Mamdani signed the city's 9/11 commemoration order and handed the ceremonial pen to a legal aide who had represented an al Qaeda member held at Guantanamo Bay. Victims' families collected 101,000 petition signatures asking him to stay away from the 25th anniversary ceremony. Council member Vickie Paladino told him to stay in City Hall. Hezbollah's newspaper in Lebanon called his election good news for Islamists and floated him as a future Secretary of Homeland Security. Schweizer draws the line where the episode draws it. The issue is not faith. Zuhdi Jasser, a former Navy physician running in Arizona, is Muslim, loves the country, and names the radicals out loud. The issue is a worldview: officials who defend the goal while softening the method, and a Democratic Socialists of America apparatus giving them a party structure to run in. CAIR reports a record 255 Muslim elected officials now serving across 26 states. Eric Eggers closes on the intelligence failure of 2001. The CIA and the FBI each held a piece and nobody assembled the picture. The pieces are on the table again. Where you were on September 11 The day the news crawl was born 9,677 dead after the towers came down The $10 trillion war on terror Why DHS exists: the pieces nobody connected Two jihads, one end goal Families tell Mamdani to stay away from Ground Zero The ceremonial pen and the al Qaeda lawyer Hezbollah's paper wants Mamdani at Homeland Security 255 Muslim officials, the DSA, and the red-green alliance 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 👇 📕 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon (2026) https://amzn.to/3LcenCd 📗 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election (2018) https://a.co/d/cQZzBlT?tag=governmacco01-20 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 👇 🌐 https://thedrilldown.com ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/@TheDrillDown 📸 https://www.instagram.com/TheDrillDown1 𝕏 https://twitter.com/TheDrillDown1 📘 https://facebook.com/DrillDownTV 🟢 https://rumble.com/c/TheDrillDown1 🟣 https://truthsocial.com/@DrillDownwithSchweizer 🎧 Listen on the go: https://thedrilldown.podbean.com Also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart and Amazon Music. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 👇 The Drill Down is produced by the 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, a nonpartisan investigative research organization. Meta settled the state lawsuits over teen harm for $12.6 billion, spread across ten years. Its outside lawyers get roughly $10 billion. On a present-value basis, the law firms collect more than the states do. A month earlier, the states behind the case sought permission to ask a jury for $1.4 trillion in damages. The final deal admits no wrongdoing, keeps Mark Zuckerberg off the witness stand, and sunsets its safety commitments after five years. Florida refused to sign. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers break down what Meta bought, what the trial would have exposed, and why the attorneys general folded. A former Meta engineer testified he sent Zuckerberg internal data showing teens encountered violent or graphic content at rates up to 400 times higher than the company admitted publicly. None of it reached a jury. Then follow the money. OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Amazon have given more than $2 million to attorney general campaigns since the start of last year, including $200,000 from Meta to each party's AG association in a single quarter. Meta is spending an estimated $65 million this year to back state politicians friendly to its industry. Compare it to tobacco. In 1998, 47 states won $200 billion. Meta pays 12 to 18 billion, admits nothing, and gets a clause raising its payment if YouTube, TikTok, and Snapchat make their own products less attractive to kids. Two quotes about lawyers What Meta agreed to pay CNBC reacts: the lawyers beat the states From $1.4 trillion to $18 billion How this compares to Big Tobacco Zuckerberg avoids the witness stand Under oath: correlation is not causation The algorithm concession, and what it sidesteps AI companies fund the AGs investigating them Big government and big business as collaborators 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 👇 📕 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon (2026) https://amzn.to/3LcenCd 📗 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election (2018) https://a.co/d/cQZzBlT?tag=governmacco01-20 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 👇 🌐 https://thedrilldown.com ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/@TheDrillDown 📸 https://www.instagram.com/TheDrillDown1 𝕏 https://twitter.com/TheDrillDown1 📘 https://facebook.com/DrillDownTV 🟢 https://rumble.com/c/TheDrillDown1 🟣 https://truthsocial.com/@DrillDownwithSchweizer 🎧 Listen on the go: https://thedrilldown.podbean.com Also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart and Amazon Music. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 👇 The Drill Down is produced by the 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, a nonpartisan investigative research organization. Democrats trail Republicans in cash by nine figures. The DNC reported $16 million on hand against $17.9 million in debt. The RNC reported $130 million. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers follow the money filling the gap, and most of it comes from senior citizens. A Stanford researcher spent eight months preparing an investigation for The New York Times. Fact checkers cleared it. Lawyers cleared it. Then the Elias Law Group sent cease and desist letters on behalf of Democratic committees, and the paper walked away. What the research found: a spam text pipeline built to squeeze a captive pool of elderly donors. An 85 year old man in Oxford, Ohio gave 7,800 times, nearly $650,000, more than double the value of his house. A 90 year old woman in an Indiana senior living facility gave more than 25,000 times, $250,000 in total. Fewer than 1% of Democrat donors account for almost half of the $1.4 billion these PACs have raised since 2017. One network alone pulled in $390 million. Most of the money never reaches a candidate. It recycles back into the fundraising operation. Hakeem Jeffries shows the shift in one chart. In 2018, his average donor was 54 and 21% were 65 or older. This cycle, his average donor is 73 and 86% are senior citizens. Then the midterm ledger. Ripple and Coinbase sit at the top of $230 million in special interest spending, ahead of Big Tech and Wall Street. FanDuel and DraftKings make the top six. George Soros has given more than $102 million this year. AIPAC drew headlines for $30 million behind Haley Stevens in Michigan, while the money moving against her opponent's opponent stays far harder to trace: a $200,000 super PAC check from Abdul El-Sayed's father-in-law, an Islamic Society of North America figure; $25,000 from an Egyptian American activist sentenced to life in absentia; $115,000 tied to people affiliated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Saudi Arabia spent $92 million on Washington lobbying last year with roughly 148 registered foreign agents. Peter and Eric close on Sharia law, Jesse Watters' interview with El-Sayed, and whether the red-green alliance holds long enough to make Michigan competitive. Cold open Votes from the poor, money from the rich The DNC has $16 million and $17.9 million in debt Granny's Social Security check funds the campaign The New York Times kills the story after legal threats One donor, 7,800 gifts, $650,000 Hakeem Jeffries' donor base ages 20 years in eight Crypto, gambling and AIPAC lead the midterm spending The influence money nobody tracks CAIR cash, Jesse Watters, and the Sharia law question 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 👇 📕 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon (2026) https://amzn.to/3LcenCd 📗 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election (2018) https://a.co/d/cQZzBlT?tag=governmacco01-20 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 👇 🌐 https://thedrilldown.com ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/@TheDrillDown 📸 https://www.instagram.com/TheDrillDown1 𝕏 https://twitter.com/TheDrillDown1 📘 https://facebook.com/DrillDownTV 🟢 https://rumble.com/c/TheDrillDown1 🟣 https://truthsocial.com/@DrillDownwithSchweizer 🎧 Listen on the go: https://thedrilldown.podbean.com Also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart and Amazon Music. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 👇 The Drill Down is produced by the 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, a nonpartisan investigative research organization. Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers track three fronts in China's campaign against American immigration controls, and the officials in Washington who look away. Trump signed two executive orders on August 6, narrowing his birthright citizenship push to birth tourism and surrogacy. Five days later the same coalition from Barbara v. Trump went back to the same judge for a restraining order. Brett Kavanaugh already signaled a pathway for limiting 14th Amendment abuse, so the left should not assume a win at the Supreme Court. The Justice Department charged a network selling green cards through fake weddings. Chinese nationals paid facilitators up to $100,000. Facilitators paid American citizens up to $30,000 to stand at the altar. One prenuptial agreement instructed the bride never to speak to the groom again. Then there is Mexico. Former Mexican tourism official Simón Levy published a report on how Mexicans are manufactured in Mexico. Civil registry employees took $4,000 per migrant to forge birth certificates for Cuban, Haitian and Chinese nationals. Mexico deleted the database field recording when a passport was issued in 2021, so the forgeries are untraceable. A Mexican passport drops your US visa refusal rate by 49.5 points. A Chinese national in Beijing becomes a Mexican citizen, then walks into the United States under a new name. The declassified Swalwell file closes the loop. Eric Swalwell admitted a physical relationship with Chinese intelligence asset Fang Fang. She placed interns in his office and laundered money into his campaign. He joked to friends his girlfriend worked for the Chinese CIA. He stayed on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and Nancy Pelosi kept him there. The FBI, which the committee oversees, kept trying to recruit Fang Fang and never moved on Swalwell. China thinks in dynasties, not decades Trump's August 6 executive orders on birth tourism The ACLU coalition sues again, and Rob Bonta calls it a tantrum Birth tourism is an industry term, not a slur DOJ charges the $100,000 sham marriage ring Staged attacks and weaponized immigration Simón Levy's report: Mexicans manufactured in Mexico The passport database field Mexico deleted in 2021 Eric Swalwell, Fang Fang, and the warning signs he ignored The FBI knew, kept recruiting her, and never touched him 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 👇 📕 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon (2026) https://amzn.to/3LcenCd 📗 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election (2018) https://a.co/d/cQZzBlT?tag=governmacco01-20 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 👇 🌐 https://thedrilldown.com ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/@TheDrillDown 📸 https://www.instagram.com/TheDrillDown1 𝕏 https://twitter.com/TheDrillDown1 📘 https://facebook.com/DrillDownTV 🟢 https://rumble.com/c/TheDrillDown1 🟣 https://truthsocial.com/@DrillDownwithSchweizer 🎧 Listen on the go: https://thedrilldown.podbean.com Also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart and Amazon Music. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 👇 The Drill Down is produced by the 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞, a nonpartisan investigative research organization.
