
A co-pilot on a FlyDubai airlines flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel stabbed the captain and then apparently tried to crash the jetliner carrying around 170 people. Heroic passengers and members of the crew subdued the attacker, and the plane landed safely in Saudi Arabia. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the captain of the flight as a “true hero,” saying he fought back despite serious stab wounds and helped prevent a midair catastrophe.
