The whispered voice outside her bedroom sounded exactly like Tara, quietly calling her name and asking her to come into the hallway. It seemed like just another cruel prank between kids who didn’t get along. Then one night, Tara wasn’t home. The voice came anyway.Even the family dog heard it, staring at the closed door and growling at whoever—or whatever—was waiting on the other side.
