Sleeping In at EPCOT: Is Skipping Rope Drop Worth It? (Ep. 29)

Can you sleep in and still see everything at EPCOT? Chris Cox and Len Testa bring the case against rope drop before Judge Jim Hill, comparing later arrivals without Lightning Lane. From a counterintuitive start at Spaceship Earth to the trade-offs of tackling Guardians of the Galaxy and Test Track first, they weigh more sleep against more walking and waiting. Along the way, the court considers festival grazing, World Showcase detours, and the ingredients for the worst touring plan imaginable. HIGHLIGHTS • Why a 9 a.m. arrival can favor Spaceship Earth, Mexico, and a post-opening dip at Frozen Ever After.• How a 10 a.m. start changes the touring order and adds walking to the day.• What visitors may have to give up when they arrive around 10:30 a.m. or later.• The pros and cons of starting in World Nature, World Showcase, or the Guardians and Test Track queues.• Festival dining, France’s crêpes, and a mischievous proposal for the worst EPCOT touring plan.
