We hear how symbolist artist Sean Jefferson, was called into painting via an Enochian magic ritual and the unfolding of his innate Spiritualist Mediumship which eventually led to his connection with the Ruralist movement (The Brotherhood of Ruralists). We take a look at some of his paintings and discuss his relationship with the characters in these images, how the paintings themselves come into form via automatic painting and the range of people’s strong reactions to the images.
