Colleen Hoover | Verity, Becoming a Bestseller & the Story Behind Her Success! (REPEAT)

#987. REPEAT OUR GREATEST HIT EPISODES:With Verity officially hitting the big screen, we’re going back into the OTV vault for Kaitlyn’s conversation with the woman who started it all: #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover!Long before her books became global phenomenons and Verity made its way to Hollywood, Colleen joined Kaitlyn to talk about the surprisingly normal — and very chaotic — road that led her to becoming one of the biggest authors in the world. It all started with writing her first book simply “for fun,” and somehow turned into a career she admits still gives her a serious case of impostor syndrome.Colleen opens up about why she thrives in chaos, her unconventional writing process, why she doesn’t believe in writer’s block, and where some of her most memorable characters actually come from. And yes, that includes the confession that one of them was inspired by someone from Bachelor Nation she fell for while watching Bachelor in Paradise.Whether you’ve been a CoHo reader for years or just discovered Verity through the movie, this conversation hits a little differently now!If you’re LOVING this podcast, please follow and leave a rating and review below!
