Creating Space and Building Connection with our Teens

Communicating with our kids is one of the most important, and challenging, things we do as parents. It’s so important to understand where our kids are coming from developmentally as adolescents so we can better connect with each other. When our children are in their teen and tween years, they naturally start to pull away. Creating quality time, reinforcing positive behavior, and employing effective communication techniques can help us keep up that connection with our kids.
