The Terrible Podcast — New Cornerbacks, McCarthy's Cleaning House Comment, Week 5 Team Woes & More

October 7, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 32 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the new cornerbacks the Pittsburgh Steelers have their 53-man roster Sean Murphy-Bunting and Terell Smith. We discuss how both players are likely to be in unform right away for the team. The Steelers also made a few other transactions since our last show, so we make sure to recap those heading into Wednesday morning. Will Steelers RB Rico Dowdle make it back from his toe injury this week? Alex and I go over what he had to say about his rehab on Tuesday. Steelers HC Mike McCarthy talked about the team having to clean their own house during his Monday media session, so we go over how several people missed the context of what he was saying. We also discuss what McCarthy had to say about the animated player reactions Thursday night and specifically when it comes to QB Aaron Rodgers and OLB T.J. Watt during the Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers three coordinators, Brian Angelichio, Patrick Graham, and Danny Crossman, talked to the media on Monday so Alex and I recap the main talking points that came out of those press conferences. As we start getting ready for the Steelers Week 5 home game against the Indianapolis Colts, Alex and I go over the lengthy list of woes the team has on offense, defense, and special teams after the first four games of the 2026 regular season. This 81-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
