Tibetan Buddhism: The Elegant Mind: Daily Summaries Delivered

by chenrezigproject

This podcast shares thoughts and perspectives concerning practical notions and methodologies for all—regardless of level of experience or knowledge—who are curious, interested, or ongoing students/practitioners of Himalayan (Tibetan) Buddhism. The podcasts are produced by The Chenrezig Project, a Buddhist study and discussion group based in the USA with international reach. Mark Winwood, founder of the Chenrezig Project and a member of the undergraduate Contemplative Psychology teaching faculty at Naropa University in Boulder, is the resident Dharma sharer and host. These podcasts are independent of Naropa University. The podcasts feature music composed and performed by Bobby Vega. Bobby began his professional career as a bass player in 1973 at age 16, performing on Sly Stone’s single “I Get High on You.” A Bay Area musician, he has played with artists including Joan Baez, Etta James, Santana, and Jefferson Starship, and was named one of the “Top 100 Bassists of All Time” by Bass Player Magazine in 2017. As a composer, he has contributed to soundtracks for the documentary Vietnam: A Television History, the Francis Ford Coppola film One from the Heart, and the Sega video game Sonic The Hedgehog. After four decades and nearly 5,000 gigs, Bobby continues to develop his distinctive blend of rhythm & blues, rock, funk, technique, and tone.
